Carole Owen

Carole Deakin Owen is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University (Berea, Ohio) where she attended the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. She started playing the piano under the tutelage of her father, the Director of Music and organist at The Church of the Epiphany, Pittsburgh, PA, when she was still a toddler. Carole started her formal training at the age of nine and ultimately competed at Carnegie Mellon University competitions where she often won top honors. After attending university, she opened her piano studio in Cleveland before moving to Toledo where she taught for 30 years. In addition to her piano studio, she has accompanied for Toledo, Ohio area high schools and colleges for countless musicals, recitals, regional and state contests and adjudications.

Carole was the full time accompanist for Central Catholic High School in Toledo for 12 years. Carole has now found a home in the talented group of musicians in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area where she sings with the All Saints Episcopal church choir and the Hilton Head Symphony Chorus. She continues her accompanying for several organizations, schools and choirs in Bluffton and Hilton Head.
